ABOUT THE BRAND
CYKLAR is an elevated, indulgent body care brand thoughtfully designed using advanced skin care ingredients, nutrient-rich botanicals, and luxurious fragrances. With products such as body wash, perfume oil, and body cream, CYKLAR provides a full sensorial experience built to nourish your skin and stimulate your senses.
THE RETAINER (MY ROLE)
CYKLAR was in need of a monthly visual direction partner to ideate resonant campaigns while maintaining long-term visual cohesion. For the month of February, the brand sought to design a Valentine’s Day campaign aligned with the release of their new perfume oils. I focused on visual research, ideation, and design direction for this campaign and its associated rollout across platforms.

THE mood board
In January, CYKLAR announced the release of their perfume oils with 8 proprietary scents. For Valentine’s Day, I proposed “The Perfect Pair”, a campaign concept for fragrance duo kits that perfectly compliment one another, designed for couples to wear together.
The campaign imagery is centered around 4 relationship clichés/archetypes, each with their own unique scent pairing. The pairings seek to tell a playful story about love and add a humorous edge to the campaign. Photo direction combines lifestyle shots of couples (the different archetypes), as well as sensory-forward product shots of each scent pairing.

A specialized script font was designed particularly for use in this campaign with CYKLAR’s existing brand voice in mind. The warm & woody color palette is meant for use across campaign design elements and imagery.
The visual identity
HOT & HEAVY
The campaign imagery features 4 different scent pairings as embodiment of different relationship types.
CYKLAR’s Sex Musk and Cedar Supreme pair together beautifully as warm, sexy scents. Their given relationship archetype as part of the campaign would be “Hot & Heavy”. In contrast, Flora Veil and Bergamot Bond are sold together as whimsical, floral scents, creating the “Hopeless Romantics” pairing.

packaging direction
For PR gifting intended to make a lasting impression, I developed a packaging direction that extended the campaign narrative into a physical brand experience while preserving CYKLAR’s elevated identity.
The concept centers on logo-embossed boxes finished with red ribbon and personalized notes sealed with a “kiss.” Included love letters articulate the story behind each scent pairing, inviting recipients to emotionally engage with the campaign and see themselves reflected within the brand’s world.

Social media assets include an array of product and lifestyle imagery designed to bring the campaign to life. Short-form video reels complement the polished static imagery by narrating the story behind each scent pairing archetype.
As visual director, I led the conceptual development of social content for this campaign, ensuring cohesive storytelling across all platforms. This includes oversight of image curation and design for this campaign, tailoring each asset to align seamlessly with platform-specific formats and audience behaviors.
