For Kelsea's cover shoot, StyleCaster seeks to tell her story of stepping into the spotlight as the truest version of herself. Through dramatic lighting, a bold & flirty wardrobe, and whimsical posing, this cover shoot emphasizes Kelsea's endeavor to rediscover her playful side.

Behind the Scenes of Kelsea Ballerini's Cover Shoot
When endeavoring to create a lively and playful cover story, Kelsea Ballerini made it easy. As a former dancer with an evident zest for life, Kelsea was striking pose after pose with minimal direction. The use of stark lighting and shadows adds visual interest to the imagery while emphasizing her natural ability to shine in the spotlight.
To achieve Kelsea's gorgeous cover photos, I created photo, style, and beauty mood boards. I directed visuals on set in collaboration with the photographer, stylist, groomer, and talent, contributing to the lighting setup, posing, and fashion/beauty choices. I performed all photo retouching post-shoot and designed the animated and still digital covers for StyleCaster social media channels.
